Rene Marie Russo (born Rene Marie Russo) is an American film actress, former supermodel and filmmaker. Her elegant and beautiful beauty Marie can be seen throughout her career as a performer and actress. In the 70s the model began her career and quickly was one of the most prominent actors in the industry. At the beginning of the following decade, she began studying the arts and performed before making appearances on the stage at Los Angeles and elsewhere in California. Russo's screen debut was in ABCs 1987 drama Sable, where she played Eden Kendell. She portrayed Tom Berengers' love interest two years later in Major League, her debut film. Her consistency won the hearts of the critics, who initially were unsure regarding her talents as an actor. She was praised for her role in Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak and also in Outbreak, where she competed with Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. Namajunas is a Lithuanian immigrant who was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 29, 1992. Rose played basketball and kickboxing as she grew up. She made her debut as a professional at the age of 18 at the Invicta Fighting Championships at which she managed to win two bouts by submission. The fights caught the eye of Dana White who signed her to join the UFC Strawweight on December 14, 2014, when she was just twenty-two years of age. The career of Rose has been full of highs as well as lows, yet she is always in a position to emerge from her fights on top. Rose was a part of Carla Esparza to win the Women s Strawweight Championship in The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale. Rose won with a technical knockout that lasted less than three minutes in the round One. Rose was also named Fighter Of The Night and made history as it marked the first time that a woman has ever been a fighter on a level of championships in a major promotional organization across the globe. Namajunas had a number of wins following this fight and received the title of Performance Of The Night by UFC for her victories over Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
